hello, im Elizaveta

I was born in the Far East of Russia, in a region influenced by Asian traditions. I grew up close to nature and around people who worked with natural medicine, mystics, and healers. Being raised in that environment shaped my understanding of wellness from a young age and planted the roots of the work I do today.

After high school, I moved to Auckland, New Zealand to study abroad while my family relocated to Thailand. For more than five years, I lived between these two places. That time broadened my worldview and helped me appreciate the many different cultural approaches to healing, family, and community.

In my twenties, I moved to the United States to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in Fashion. During those years, I discovered yoga and meditation, which quickly became central to my life. I completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training with my teachers, Marco Rojas and Jarad McCann, and immersed myself in multiple Vipassana retreats and mantra practices. These experiences taught me presence, discipline, and a deeper connection to myself—things that continue to influence my work.

After seven years in New York City, I knew I was ready for a different pace of life, so I moved to Hawai‘i. There, I taught yoga, co-created an Ayurvedic food business, and deepened my love for Ayurveda. I also spent six months studying Lomi Lomi with Hawaiian healers, learning how bodywork and ritual can support both emotional and physical healing.

After my time in Hawai‘i, I moved to Venice, Los Angeles, where my life shifted in an even more meaningful way: I became a mother. In 2022, I had a home birth and welcomed my son, Lyon. My pregnancy and birth were beautiful, but I wasn’t prepared for the postpartum period… That experience showed me how essential proper postpartum care truly is and inspired me to train as an Ayurvedic postpartum doula so I could support mothers in ways I wish I had been supported.

Over the last four years, I’ve supported mothers in Los Angeles, Hawai‘i, and now Santa Cruz. Through MATA, I offer warm guidance, nourishing Ayurvedic meals, Bellybinding, herbal support and bodywork.

My intention is simple: to care for mothers the way they deserve to be cared for. To help them feel held, supported, and confident as they move through the first 42 days and beyond—recovering, reconnecting, and remembering their own strength.
